Washington DC Plane Crashes in the Potomac River
Mr. Seme's Class
On January 30, 2025, an airplane with 67 passengers was landing at Washington Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC. A pilot in training was flying a US military helicopter at the same time. The helicopter was flying over the airport to practice navigating around plane traffic. The helicopter accidentally flew in the way of the airplane, causing it to crash. The plane crashed in the river. The helicopter hit the right engine, and unfortunately all 67 passengers and the pilots died. The search started immediately, but the search party didn't find everybody. They're still searching and finding parts of the plane.
